Reflexology

(Face, Foot, Hand)

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a holistic therapy that works with specific reflex points on the feet, hands and face, which correspond to different organs, systems and areas of the body. By applying gentle, skilled pressure to these reflex points, reflexology supports relaxation, improves circulation and encourages the body’s natural ability to restore balance and wellbeing.

Each area — the feet, hands and face — contains a complete reflex map of the body. Working on any of these areas can support the whole person physically, emotionally and energetically. The choice of area is guided by your needs, comfort and preferences, as well as any health considerations.

Foot reflexologyis deeply grounding and commonly used to support overall balance and physical wellbeing.
Hand reflexologyis gentle and accessible, making it suitable for those who prefer to remain seated, have foot sensitivity, or require a more adaptable approach.

Facial reflexology works with delicate reflex points on the face and is deeply calming for the nervous system. In addition to its relaxing and balancing effects, facial reflexology supports healthy circulation to the face, helping to improve skin tone, brightness and overall complexion, while promoting a sense of renewal and vitality.

All forms of reflexology encourage the body’s own healing responses and aim to bring harmony and balance to the whole system.

Bergman Method

This Facial Reflexology is a specialised facial reflexology technique that combines traditional reflexology, Native American techniques, and Asian body maps to treat body systems through points on the face. It works by applying gentle pressure to these points to stimulate the Central Nervous System, promote lymphatic drainage and blood flow, release muscle tension, and encourage collagen and elastin production. The method offers benefits for both internal health, like stress reduction, and external beauty, such as skin toning and a radiant complexion.

Who Can Benefit from Reflexology?

Reflexology is a gentle, non-invasive therapy suitable for people of all ages, from babies to older adults. It can be adapted to support a wide range of needs and is especially helpful during times of stress, transition or recovery.

In today’s fast-paced world, reflexology offers a calming space to slow down and reset. By supporting the nervous system and encouraging deep relaxation, reflexology can help the body cope more effectively on a physical, mental and emotional level.

Reflexology is known for its ability to reduce stress and anxiety, promote relaxation, support circulation and lymphatic flow, encourage detoxification and revitalise energy — helping to restore balance across the mind, body and spirit.

Reflexology may help support relief from symptoms associated with:

Asthma • Headaches and migraines • Back, neck and shoulder pain • Sports and general injuries • Menstrual and hormonal imbalances • Fertility and women’s health support • Digestive disorders • Stress-related conditions • Insomnia • Fatigue • Fibromyalgia • Rheumatoid arthritis • Musculoskeletal pain • Sinus congestion and sinusitis • Poor lymphatic circulation • Constipation • Bladder and kidney stones • Diabetes • Respiratory disorders • Emotional wellbeing concerns • Multiple Sclerosis (M.S.) • Pain management and more

What Happens During a Reflexology Treatment?

Your first appointment begins with a consultation and health questionnaire, allowing me to understand your health history and tailor the session to your individual needs. In some cases, medical permission may be required before treatment begins.

For foot reflexology, you will be asked to remove your shoes and socks before relaxing comfortably on a treatment couch.
For hand reflexology, treatment can be carried out seated or lying down, making it a very accessible option.
For facial reflexology, you remain fully clothed while relaxing on the couch. The face is gently cleansed before light, precise pressure is applied to facial reflex points to support internal balance, nervous system regulation and healthy skin circulation.

Each session is unhurried and personalised. Treatments may focus on one area or gently combine foot, hand or facial reflexology, depending on what best supports you.

For optimal benefits, a short course of treatments over 4–6 weeks is often recommended, followed by monthly maintenance sessions to support ongoing wellbeing and immune health.

How Will I Feel After a Reflexology Treatment?

Most people feel deeply relaxed, calm and refreshed after a reflexology session. You may notice improved sleep, a sense of grounding, emotional ease, or — following facial reflexology — a brighter, more relaxed appearance to the skin.

Occasionally, temporary responses such as tiredness, emotional release or mild changes in energy may occur. These are usually short-lived and can be part of the body’s natural rebalancing process.

To support your treatment, it is recommended that you rest afterwards, drink plenty of water and listen to your body. Sharing any feedback helps ensure future sessions are shaped to best meet your needs.
